LICENSE COMES FIRST

Whether you hear a song or melody you like to listen to in an advertisement, reality show, or any other audio-visual medium, it is the copyright of the songwriter.

How it all happened

We Did It Global Pvt Ltd. was the brainchild of the Sri Lankan copyright activist, Harsha Bulathsinhala, in his quest to establish a proper copyright management system in the country to help artists protect their creations from unethical copyright manipulation. With the help of Ranga Dassanayake, Pearlbay’s head of education, and the creative director of Pearlbay Music, We Did It became the first music publishing administrator in the country!

Official Launch

In January of 2021, We Did It Global officially launched and began its work of litigating and protecting its members from copyright abuse, handling royalty collection and issuing proper licensing.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE THE DRIVING FORCE OF WE DID IT GLOBAL

Services

We Did It Global not only protects the work of its members but also provides the opportunity for anyone to apply for a legitimate license in order to reproduce, cover or use any of the songs in the catalogue for their own use. If approved, the licensing fee benefits the original composers and authors of the work, whilst giving you the freedom to use their music legally and respectfully.
